Presence

Practicing Presence is a phrase I like that summarizes the experience of fully engaging our senses to quiet our minds and notice our surroundings with fresh eyes in order to bring our awareness fully into the present moment and experience God’s presence with us. It’s not easy to turn down our inner dialogue, to really tune in to what’s happening right here, right now.  It’s not easy to fully show up. That’s why it takes practice. But when we do, God meets us in profound, often unexpected and highly personalized ways, deepening our relationship with Him and revealing His workings in our life. As you “practice presence” in daily living, you’ll find that all of life is prayer and God is always near.
